श्रद्धावान

हरिश्चंद्र को अविनाशी यश पाने से पूर्व कड़ी परीक्षा की आग से गुजरना पड़ा। प्रह्लाद की भक्ति झूठी है या सच्ची, यह उसने एक-से-एक भयावह संकटों को शिरोधार्य करके सिद्ध किया। अपुत्र दिलीप गुरु वसिष्ठ से संतान का वरदान माँगने गए तो उनकी श्रद्धा गौ चराने और उसकी रक्षा का अड़चन भरा कार्य सौंपकर, परखा गया। सिंह से गुरु की गौ बचाने के लिए जब वे अपने प्राण देने तक को तैयार हो गए, तभी यह जाना गया कि दिलीप श्रद्धावान हैं। श्रद्धावान को ही आध्यात्मिक अनुदान मिलते रहे हैं।

Harishchandra had to go through a severe test before attaining imperishable fame. Whether Prahlad's devotion is false or true, he proved it by inciting one after the other terrible troubles. When his son Dilip went to ask for a boon from Guru Vasistha for a child, his faith was tested by entrusting him with the difficult task of grazing the cow and protecting it. When he agreed to lay down his life to save the Guru's cow from Singh, it was only then that it was known that Dilip was a Shraddhavan. Only the Shraddhavan has been receiving spiritual grants.
